Byrd Pasture At the Exell Ranch

Another rider can be seen far on the horizon in Byrd.  When gathering a pasture, a cowboy can tell whether he is with the gather by topping out.   If he is ahead of the gather, he will turn his horse toward the cattle; so others can see where they are with relation to the rest of the cowboys.
